YOU ARE A LOT MORE CREATIVE THAN YOU THINK
Creativity is in all of us. We all have the power to come up with great ideas, execute them, and turn them into everything we want. However, the main reason why some people excel while others don’t is that those who fail, haven’t realized the power that lies inside. If you think creativity is meant for artists, writers, and painters only, think again.
It takes creativity to start and end your day right. The main reason why you can balance personal relationships, social relationships, and work is that you are focused and creative.
Think of all the things you thought were impossible in the past. Things that you managed to attain or overcome. Think of all the bad breaks you’ve had, how you managed to navigate them and experience your breakthrough. Think of all the storms you’ve weathered and challenges you’ve overcome. That is evidence that you can do and be anything you want.
Creativity is the ability to come up with original and new ideas that will turn into something valuable or profitable. It happens in all areas of life and can be achieved by anyone despite their background, academic level, or relationships. All you have to do is trust yourself.
Recognize that some of the best ideas came from people who had failed countless times before achieving their breakthroughs. If you don’t come up with a great idea the first time or fail to succeed in something you thought would be useful, don’t give up.
Original ideas are products of a series of bad ideas. Meaning the only way to come up with an innovative idea is to let your mind wander and embrace the fact that you will come up with concepts that aren’t so great. That is how you train your mind. That is how you gain confidence in yourself and get a step closer to your brilliant idea.
So, if you’ve been thinking about writing your first novel, do it. If you’ve been thinking about launching an online marketing business, do it. If you want to start an eCommerce store, do it. If you want to create your first painting, do it. Don’t let fear of failure stop you. If things don’t go as expected, don’t despair. Keep trying, retrace your steps, know where you went wrong, and correct your mistakes.
If you have to try something else, go ahead and give it a try. Substitute the “what if this doesn’t work out” mentality with a “There is still so much I can do” attitude.
Understand the difference between a brilliant idea and a bad one to succeed.
The key to turning a simple idea into massive success is knowing the difference between a brilliant idea and a bad one.
So, every time you come up with a series of ideas, do your research. Don’t jump headfirst and start investing in something you aren’t sure of. Determine if there’s someone who is already doing what you intend to do and whether or not there is value in what you are aiming for. For example, if you want to launch a meditation app, search for the most popular meditation apps available. Is there a market for them? And Do people find the apps valuable?
Consider available resources. Do you have enough time to create the app? Do you have enough money to hire a developer? Is it worth the investment? What do you intend to gain? And do you have the time and capital to market your app and turn it into a success? If so, go ahead and launch your app.
If you notice there is no market demand, you don’t have enough resources, or you aren’t as passionate about it as you are about something else, move on to the next idea. Doing this helps you avoid investing your time, money, or energy into things you will only give up on in the long run. It also ensures you only make time for what you believe in and is key to working towards your vision despite how many times you fall.
What separates high-achievers from underachievers is that they can distinguish between a brilliant idea and an average one. If you want your idea to turn into something valuable and useful, know the steps to take to ensure that happens. Recognize the importance of not only generating new ideas but separating great ones from not-so-good ones. That is the only way to succeed.
